this project is inspired by the strong weaving culture and tradition in India. i spent some time at weavers' places in rural Karnataka, and went down a spiral of trying to understand how bio-psycho-social the entire space of craftspersonship is. it's wonderfully rich, and its reach is now moving towards the rest of the world
curiously enough, i started from functions and patterns that i could find at home - when you select square wave function you'll find that exact same pattern on my mothers' sarees. and then many more wave functions just made sense to explore!
i think of this as an exploration into the dialogue between traditional craftspeople and the possibilities of weaving-related crafts in the future, all with the different possibilities for patterns
